On 20th January 2021, the newly elected President of the United States of America, Joe Biden issued a memorandum named “Modernizing Regulatory Review”.
The memorandum asks the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), in consultation with representatives of the executive departments and agencies, to produce recommendations to innovate and improve the regulatory review process and sets targets for this purpose.
The text repeatedly emphasized how regulatory policies can help to improve the lives of people in concrete by addressing the urgent and crucial challenges the United States is facing, both internally and globally.
