Defeating COVID-19: Vaccines, Public Law and Global Challenges - Icon-S

The International Society of Public Law (ICON•S) is organizing a new online discussion on “Defeating COVID-19: Vaccines, Public Law and Global Challenges”.

The event will cover key questions of justice and equality due to the increasing worries and criticism regarding the domestic roll-out of COVID-vaccines and their international distribution.

Marie Bismark (University of Melbourne, Australia) will chair and moderate the discussion between the following distinguished speakers with particular expertise on social right and the right to health:

  • Alicia Yasmin (Harvard University, USA)
  • Octavio Ferraz (King's College London, UK)
  • Gian Luca Burci (Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies Geneva, Switzerland and former legal counsel of the WHO).

Following three brief presentations and the guided discussion, there will also be a Q&A session.

The event will take place on April 30, 2021 at 9 am Eastern Time.

It is possible to register here and receive Zoom access details via email.

Moreover, ICON•S reminds us that there is still time (until May 1, 2021) to submit panel or paper proposals for the 2021 Annual Conference ICON•S Mundo.
